Compost pile thread!!!

I'm gonna start putting the coffee grounds on my pile too

We dump our coffee grounds straight in the garden. Everything else we put in the compost. Have 3 bins- I juice a ton which makes tons of compost! Love the rich soil it produces!

Does anyone put paper products in their compost? I've seen a lot of people putting paper towels and newspaper in theirs and they claim it breaks down fine. This just makes me a bit nervous for whatever reason. Was wondering if anyone tries it? I started putting tea bags in ours and that seems to be okay.

You'll be surprised how easy it is.

If you have chickens you need to compost...such good stuff to give you a rich soil amendment.

Re: tea bags in the compost. They're fine, but it's a good idea to be sure there are no little staples attached to the tag or bag.

Tea bags go in my worm bin. I don't drink coffee but may ask for the neighbors coffee grounds.
