Well, I know it can be done... you just have to find the roost that best suits your needs :thumbsup
I didn't understand your drawing completely... but my advice would be... make it portable so you can easily access the compost below it... either by moving the whole coop, or moving the roost.... don't let it be something you are constantly stooping to get under.

I can walk into the coop, and the chickens have access to the compost so they will mix it and eat bugs in it.I just don't want hem eating their poop, so I will probably add a layer of bedding over the old one after a week or two. So to explain the roost, I want them to roost/ sleep over a compost pile a night, so that when they poop the poops fall into the compost pile and idealy get composted

Do you feel like sharing more thoughts about this? I’m designing a portable coop made of cattle panels and mesh that will be predator proof, ventilated yet sheltered, and where the roosts are over the ground to be pooped on, whether compost (horse manure) or future growing area (row of veggies).
