Computer garbage

Hi, I don't know if it's me or not, but this site is the only site I visit on this computer on a daily basis. Lately when I log out I end up with garbage from Advanced Cleaner Ads with naughty pictures on it saying they found this stuff on my computer. I'm also getting others. Is it from here? My DH has me cleaning this stuff up weekly now. Any ideas? I'm running my anti spy program weekly to help.

I'm not tech savvy, maybe someone can let me know what's up. Thank you.

speckledhen - I think I have a leak or something. But it's only when I'm here. Maybe it's my computer. I'll try something else. If anyone comes up with the same stuff, let me know!

I bet a worm got in and is allowing them to infiltrate regardless if you are on a webpage or not. Once I accidentally clicked on a dancing egg when intending to save it and it wiped the computer...

time to get new software! Two excellent anti-everything software that does automatic daily updates and is and always will be totally FREEWARE www.adaware.com and www.avast.com MicroSoft's website recommends both of these programs as "tops" for 3rd party plug-ins. All y'all take care!

My DH has used adaware for spam and thought it worked very well. It didn't mess up the computer causing things to run slower and did a good job with the spam.

I second the recommendations for Spybot S&D , AVG free and Firefox

I would say use a program called HiJack this but...unless you're really tech savvy I wouldnt mess with it, it wont clean the problems but it will sort through files and registries and give a very detailed list of whats there that shouldnt be
