Concerned about my eggs

I purchased some eggs and set them in the incubator on the 14th of July. On the 18th of July the power went off and was off for about 3 hours. I have candled these eggs on the 25th and couldnt see anything. I am not so good at candling though. Its really hard for me to see through the darker color eggs. I just candled two of them tonight and still cant see anything. I know this may sound off the wall but when I am turning the eggs some feel alot heavier than they did when I set them. Is this just my imagination and hopefullness of them still hatching or what? Anyones opinion or input of anykind is so very much appreciated. I am at the point of discouragement with peafowl.

The shells are unfortunately very thick on peafowl eggs, so you'd have to get a very bright light to see inside of them. I use a Surefire A220507 E2D Executive Defender flashlight to see inside of mine- it is made for self defense and is bright enough to literally blind a person momentarily when shone at them... which coincidentally, makes it bright and strong enough to see inside peafowl eggs XD

I don't think that your eggs would have suffered a death for 3 hours of power outage if the incubator was up to temp before it went out and you didn't open the top during the three hours. It probably would have dropped the temp some, but even peahens get off the nest and leave the eggs for periods of time.

As for them being heavier... I've never thought to weigh them before incubation and at lockdown, but I suspect they are not that much different in weight that you'd be able to feel it. This will be something interesting to find out, maybe next year when I'm able to hatch again!

Good luck, our shipped eggs aren't hatching so well this year. So, if they don't develop it might not be the power out that caused the problem.

We were gone when the power was off so the incubator wasnt open. Thanks I am not giving up yet. I appreciate all of your help.
