I am getting concerned for my small chickens we have at the house. There were 4 Robins sitting on nest with chicks in several trees around the chicken coop. Yesterday my wife took my daughter to look at them and she came back and said everyone is gone. The nests were nocked around, chicks were gone and Robin feathers on the ground. I am thinking Hauk or Coon.
Our chicken run I think is ok. It has a outer ring of 2x4 welded wire attached to T posts. Then I have chicken wire sunk in the ground 6 " and rocks and dirt pilled up along the base. On the inside of the run I attached 1/4"x1/4" plastic. Both the plastic and chicken wire go up about 2 feet from the bottom. The top is covered with 2x4 welded. Do you feel this will keep out whatever is killing the Robins?
