Concerning Permits to House Hens

I had to file a permit yesterday to have a coop and maximum of 10 hens on my residential property. Obviously I'm supposed to have chickens, everything is coming together so easily. Of course there are rules prohibiting roos but I'm ok with that. I'm sure every city/town has their own rules and regulations. I'm just so excited and can't wait for Saturday to get my new little flock of 4 hens!

The first picture...when they were younger they look great.
The second picture...they don't look so hot.
 
I'd like to get some chicks and a golden laced, (love the color) something...ya ya..later on, within the next couple months. We'll see.

Integrating two flocks is NOT fun.
Read up on quarantining the correct way too.
You can bring in all kinds of new illnesses with new birds.
