A good friend of mine is selling her condo in Daytona Beach. She used it as a rental property, and she's spending much more on it than she's bringing in. It would be a wonderful inexpensive place for someone to live who would like a reasonable retirement or second home for the winter. Its not big, I think around 800 square feet, a single bedroom and 2 full baths. It is right on the beach. Has a pool. They were listing for $189,000 last year. Its listed with an agent right now for $100,000, but she said she would take $69,000 for it when the listing is over, in September, just to get rid of it. My dear friend is 80 years old, and doesnt need the aggravation. Plus she loves to take cruises, and figures that would pay for a lot of cruises!
Association fees are under $600 a month, which includes utilities (not phone) and cable. Taxes are $1400 a year.
If anyone is interested, I can go over and get pictures of it. I would probably get a lot more interest in it in December!
