Anyone care to take a guess with me? They are about 2.5 months old. I know it's next to impossible to sex silkies earlier that 6 months, but from the hatch day I have had a hunch that there are 3 boys and 1 girl. Not so sure anymore.

I can definitely say I have 1 hen and 1 roo, but the other 2 are a mystery to me. The one that I'm confident is a roo already has some obvious streamers coming in. The one that I believe is a hen has a very round feminine crest.

If anyone would like to take a guess I'd love to hear your input!

1st pic is suspected hen, second is a group pic, hen back and roo front right.

I'm thinking based on how they act I have 3 roos and 1 hen, but I'll just have to wait and see 😂 hopefully I'm wrong.

Age of these cuties? Makes a difference in figuring out gender.
One on the left side of photo 4 and 5 is a cockerel anyway. 🙂

I just edited my post to include the age, sorry about that! 😂 they are about 2.5 months now! After looking at the uploaded pictures I was thinking the same for that one!

Edited my response, I meant photos 4 and 5, may be the same bird though.
Agree the first one looks like a pullet. Though honestly I do not see real streamers yet in the others, just normal crest feathers. Streamers are coarser and thicker than regular crest feathers and stick out of the back of the crest. They normally come in from around 12 weeks on. At this age comb is the best way to tell, even then can be tricky as you know with silkies.
The one I mentioned has a comb that is coloring up already. Clear cockerel sign at this age. 🙂

And now that you mention the comb, their dad has a very deep purple comb, don't know how I missed the connection there. Was looking at the size but not taking the color into account!

I'm really hoping I'm right about the one being a hen 😂 I would be so sad if all 4 were roos! Thanks a lot for the feedback. I will be sure to post more pictures as they grow :)

Okay guys, I have some updated pictures 😂 not that we will have any better guesses, but thought I'd update anyways. I numbered them this time.

I'm convinced that #1 & 4 are Roos.
I think #3 is a hen & I have no confident guess for #2.
