So I picked up the last 5 straight run bantam chicks at my local feed store on a whim. Pretty sure the others are Dark Brahma because of their coloring and feathering on legs but this lone one looks different than the others. It has a little feathering on the legs as well so I'm thinking it's just a Light Brahma that got mixed in with the others. Anyone want to confirm my suspicions? Also I know it's pretty early to tell for sure but do you think this comb and feathering at 7-8ish weeks looks like a cockerel or pullet?

Columbian Cochin or Light Brahma with incorrect comb.
So since it has a single comb is it more likely to be a Columbian Cochin? I guess they look super similar in appearance don't they...

Are the birds in the back you’re dark brahmas? Can you post some pics?
No the ones you can see in the back of the pics I posted are my sex links haha. I will post a couple pictures of what I thought were my Dark Brahma's but I didn't ask what they were for sure I just thought that's what they were. I could be completely off.

The best way to tell if it is a Light Brahma with an incorrect comb or a Columbian Cochin will be whether it grows in vulture hock feathers. Light Brahmas should not have vulture hock feathers, but Cochins should.

These are some of the others I got from the bantam bin. The first couple pics are of the one I'm about 95% sure is a cockerel, didn't have great pictures of the other ones though. The last picture is of them a week or two ago.

Do hatcheries typically breed/sell Columbian Cochins? I was under the impression that was more of a rare color, but I'm not really in the Cochins.

I'd guess it's a Light Brahma with an incorrect comb is all, that happens.
