confirmation about lockdown

I have 18 eggs in the incubator
I know that i need to put the eggs into lockdown on day 18, but just to confirm:

The incubator is showing day 17, does that mean that i am now on day 18, and the eggs have been incubated for 17 days;
or does does it mean that i am on the 17th day

sorry, i'm getting confused, and this post may not totally be clear...
but i need to know for sure

What day did you set eggs? Always write it on the calendar and never rely on the bator. They can get unplugged or lose power, etc.

Exactly 3 weeks on the calendar is 21 days. .. so if you set your eggs on Monday, day 21 is also a Monday... find your 3 week mark and count backwards to 18.. which would be a Friday in this example.

That being said... 1 day reduced (or increased even) will have zero impact on hatch rate after day 16.. Life is amazing! Great hatch resource..

Yes- sorry, i meant to say what day i started...
i put the eggs in on 29th march at 2.30pm

So at 2.30pm today, the eggs had been in for 17 days exactly.
so right now (17.19) it is day 18?

I will probably candle and put into lockdown tonight
as it is halfway through day 18 then

They will hit day 21 on the same day of the week and time of day you set them. So your day 21 starts on Sunday at 2:30pm.
You should expect some external pips on day 20+/-.

They are currently on day 16/17. Tomorrow is day 17/18. Starting your lockdown today or tomorrow. Doesn't matter.

I've know what the humidity is supposed to be;
but i've found very little advice on what the temp is supposed to be.

I've read that is should be 98F (36.7C) but that seems too low...
about where should the temp be?
