Last 2 days I have seen (and heard) some weird poop. My 9 week old has had very squirty sounding poop. And today he walked right by me and let one fly. It squirts out and sounds very watery. It’s not hot here yet so I don’t think it’s excess water. Just want confirmation I shouldn’t worry. I have been a giant worry wart the last couple of months getting back into chickens. The second pic came from a different girl but I saw her poop this morning and it looked normal. All they eat is chick starter, what they find in the run and once a week or so they get a handful of Soldier fly for all 9 of them so very little extra treats.

I wouldn't be concerned unless that is all they are pooping. Sometimes mine have waste that looks like that. If they start acting strange then I would be concerned, but if they are all still acting fine I wouldn't worry. They probably just ate something that disagreed with them.

Thanks! The one with the squirts I don’t know if that’s all he’s doing but I have heard and seen it for 2 days now.

Do you have a lot of pollen right now? is it possible they are eating it? When I have waves of pollen of the pine trees my crew gets runny, but I admit I get a LOT of pollen it covers the cars like Dr. Seuss's "Bartholomew and the Oobleck"

As long as they are all acting fine, I would not worry. Droppings can be runny for lots of reasons, both of those droppings look pretty normal to me, the second picture looks like a regular dropping with some cecal droppings mixed in. Cecal droppings happen about every 10 droppings and tend to be runnier, creamier, stinkier, and color can vary depending on their diet.

@coach723 so he is ONLY pooping this water. I have sat outside with them several times today. There was a red spot in the last one. Eating and drinking fine. No one else has this. Still ok?

@coach723 Forgot to add they are all on medicated purina chick starter and have been since day one. Was going to switch them over to all flock when this giant bag is gone.

That looks like intestinal shed. To only be pooping water is concerning. Is behavior still normal? Check crop function, it should be empty first thing in the morning before access to food or water.
Corid is very safe, so if in doubt, you can treat for coccidiosis, it won't hurt anything. I would do that if behavior changes at all for sure, if there is any lethargy or sitting puffed up. Medicated feed contains a small amount of the medication to help prevent it, but if you have a bird get sick you have to use the full strength treatment to take care of it. I can't say for sure that's what is going on, but if in doubt it's safer to treat than to not.

Thanks. I do have Corrid on hand. Behavior is normal and it’s not only water, there is matter in it also just very watery. Everyone’s crop seems only half full lately but I see them all eat and drink. They spend a lot of time digging in the dirt and just kind of graze at the food all day on and off. I put a poop board under them tonight so I can get a good look at it and will check crop. It’s really hard to tell if he’s puffed up cause he is a frizzle. He’s always puffy lol.
