My black Swedish pekin mix is only 3 months old. She had just gotten her adult feathers in.
I know she is a mix but I was just wondering if it is normal on a black Swedish to have the beetle green sheen. I have heard it mentioned in reference to cayugas, black east indies, and Muscovies, but not many have mentioned it referred to black Swedish.
The dad was def. pekin, the mother looked like a black Swedish ... I'm just wondering is she would have been a Muscovie if that's why she had the gren cast.
She had a black bill, black and yellow feet, black feathers. A white bib and white feathers on the tips of her wings.
