Can anyone provide me with the genetics for Pea comb? Is it the same as the above Rose comb to Single comb..

I am contemplating a project..

Maybe you would get more answers if you post a thread with your question, instead of this 3 year old thread about RIRs. Ya know what I mean .... a different subject line...

I dunno, just a suggestion. Good luck with your project, too!

Rosecombs are dominant....

If Rosecomb roo crossed with single combed hens...all will be rosecombed
If Rosecomb roo crossed with rosecombed hens...all will be rosecombed.

If single combed roo crossed with single combed hen...all are single comb
If Single comb roo crossed with rose comb hens...all will be rosecombed

If this is wrong...correct me!
I know this is old (super old) but my dominique rooster bred with my barred rocks and chocolate orpingtons. My co went broody and now she has 3 babies. 2 are br/dominique cross and guess what? They have single combs. The other one is a choc orphington/dominique cross, but I can't see a comb on that one yet. My dominique rooster was the only one who's breeding, being my other roosters are under 2 months old. So idk how to explain that

I'd guess the gene that makes the comb shape single must be the dominant one? Just a guess but it's probably something like that.
