Confused re duckling food?

Well here is my question and answer from them.

I have been wondering for a while why your all flock pellets have changed to 20% protein from 18%
My ducks were doing well on the 18% and the 20 is ok, but it does make their feces smell worse. I would rather have the 18% as many people argue that 20 is too high for adult ducks.
And now I'm noticing on your web site that It's not showing the purple bag of pellets I've been buying for 2 years now. . and the pink bag it shows is crumbles. PLEASE tell me the pellets aren't going off the market! My ducks will be devastated! They love the pellets.
Thanks,
Worried duck mom here

Thank you for contacting us. We recommend feeding more in scratch grains or lower protein treats to lower the total protein in the diet. The percent in the feed is just the percent but does not take into account other sources of food. You do not want to feed this product as the sole ration but rather add in scratch grains and other lower protein treats so the protein level in the total diet is not too high. The pellets are not going off the market.

I hope this information is helpful to you. Please do not hesitate to email me if you have more questions!

Thanks,
