Confused rooster

I have one very confused rooster!!!!! He is currently BROODY!!! He has been sitting on three eggs for the past 5 days. I have no doubts he is a rooster. Him and the hens had many fertile eggs last year.

I have never seen this before.

Anyone else ever experienced this.

My rooster is acting this way too! He was sitting on an egg this morning and yelling at me when I shooshed it off the nest. I went back out a little bit ago and he is back in the nest acting mildly distressed and not getting up.


Crazy rooster.

it's cute.
my foster roo big daddy acts like a mama hen to julius. he squats over him at night when they sleep like a mama hen setting on her brood.
i think it's pretty endearing.
sensitive new-age roosters!
