Do I feed my newly hatched babies the start and grow medicated just like I would the babies I bought in the past? And if so how do I keep their mom from eating it and them from eating moms All Flock food?

There is nothing wrong with feeding the babies All flock or feeding the entire flock a grower feeder. As long as you purchase a good quality feed with 18 to 20% protein. I assume you keep oyster shell available for your laying hens?

You're stressing too much. Feed chick starter, the start and grow won't hurt them or the hen. Chicks eating the hen's food is no different than a kid caught with his hand in the cookie jar. Medicated is a matter of choice. Me? I avoid medicated food, just like I avoid synthetic script drugs for myself.

My preferred food for chicks is an all flock crumble. I have not used medicated food for several years. I have not had any issues with coccidiosis. I do feed my babies separately from mom to save a few dollars. I keep my broodies caged when they set. When I let the mama and babies out I place a board in the bottom of the door of the cage. Then I tye The door shut leaving a crack for babies to go in and out. It is surprising how quickly the babies learn to go in and out of the cage

Feed everyone the all flock and put a handful of your local soil in a tray for the chicks the play in so they are able to build an immune resistance.
