Confused with this one Hen or Roo

I am confused with this bird... red comb but no waddles. And I am thinking it might be an olive egger. Approx 12 weeks old.

It looks like a female to me because of the lack of wattles.

Bearding gene inhibits wattle size.

It's definitely a cockerel as others have stated.. on barred chickens, males get a double dose of barring from the dame.. making the white bars appear wider than the dark ones. That one may have even been sex linked at hatch!

On most non hen feathered breeds, gender specific saddle feathers can start being seen well often by about 12 weeks. Image from google..

He appears to be a cockerel. Bearded chickens don’t get big wattles.
