I'm not sure. A guess is maybe Pox which is spread by mosquitos. For this there is no treatment - just have to wait for it to go away on it's own. Usually birds survive this.
I would look inside the mouth for any other abnormalities.

If it were me I would be tempted to lance it and apply some medicated ointment.
The squab otherwise still looks bright eyed and healthy. It may just drop off on its own here is hoping. Never encountered anything similar personally.
