Confusing feather growth

Hi all. I have three chicks - a 6+ week old Ameraucana, a 4+ week old Buff orphington and a 2+ week Buff Orphington. I was initially told they were all pullets based on their day old feathers, and I had to agree when I first saw them, however I am starting to second guess their genders as they grow! Based on the comb of the 6 week Ameraucana, I am guessing Roo? (I would love to be proven wrong, as I just love that chick, but I am not optimistic) The 2 BO's are confusing me. The older one is starting to get a raised, pink comb, and lots of new feathering - but hardly any tail feathers! The younger BO still has not much of a comb, but holy tail feathers! They both had really rounded baby feathers which I had believed meant female? Do combs and tail feathers give any hints? I am not sure raising chicks is my game - I can only keep hens, so all this waiting and getting attached is nerve wracking! I like those sure bet mature hens! I have photos if they would be any help.

And butt pics, lol - the one in front of the feeder is the 2 weeker, the other is the older.

I know the pics aren't great, and it is hard to judge at young ages anyway, but I am confused why one would grow tail feathers faster than the other did at the same stages.

Actually, the older BO may be male. I also would think it would have more of a tail were it a pullet, and is that a little baldishness I see on the shoulders?
