Congested chicken with swollen eye

Hi so my 10 month old lavender orphington is quite sick . I saw her earlier today moving and eating, then I caught a glimpse of her eye. I decided to separate her from the rest of the flock.
I’m just wondering, what can I do for her? Will she heal on her own, or will I have to administer medication?

her right eye is perfectly fine, it’s just the left one that’s swollen. she’s also very congested, she was gasping for air earlier.

She stinks too, I had to give her a quick bath because the smell was putrid.

Is vet care an option for you, I see you are in Austria?

Respiratory symptoms along with a pus filled eye and putrid smell - hard to know which respiratory disease she has, but I would take a good guess she might have Infectious Coryza.
There can be an odor with any infection, but Coryza is noted to have a putrid smell.

Is the inside of her beak clear of mucous, yellow/white pasty debris or canker?

Cleaning the eye out by flushing with saline, removing all the pus you can and then applying an eye ointment will be helpful and might give her some relief.

Antibiotics can help treat symptoms of certain respiratory diseases. Infectious Coryza is normally treated with Sulfa antibiotics, while something like Mycoplasma is treated with Tylosin, Tetracyclines (oxy/doxy), Tiamulin or Enrofloxacin. Getting some testing to find out what you are dealing with is best so you can give the correct treatment/medication.

I would keep her fairly warm and do what you can to get her hydrated.
