Hey y'all! I have been raising chickens for years now, but I have a new challenge. I have a hen that sounds congested and snotty. Poor Nancy :( I use Rooster Booster's: Vitamins/Electrolytes/Lactobacillus in their water, and have been treating her with VetRX. I read that Tylosin is good for congestion in chickens, but it requires a script from the vet. Any advice on natural or other OTC options? I only have a flock of 7 currently. 6 hens and 1 rooster. I have sprinkled table scraps and treats with oregano and turmeric as well. I read that they possess certain antibiotic qualities. Thanks in advance for the help!

None that that thankfully. We are new to living in southwest Missouri and this season we had a lot of rain and so based on my reading, my suspicion is that part of their run stayed wet for too long??
I'm not sure, but if there's no mucus, swelling or bubbles, and she's acting normal I'd stop treatment.
What do you mean by congested sounding?
