Okay everyone, let's have some math fun:

I posted the 1,000 member topic on 3/22/07.

There are now 1669 members (so 669 new members in 30 days). 669/30 = 22 new members a day.

1,000 new members should take about 45 days (1,000 / 22).

3/22/07 + 45 =

5/6/07

I had originally guessed 5/12/07 because we were growing at about 19.5 members a day.

Well, it is 5/6/7 and we're at 1986 members. We probably won't hit 2,000 tonight, but I"m 99.99% sure we will tomorrow.

I had no idea you guys had just started this forum! I wonder how many folks came here because of the "Mother Earth News" article this spring's issue about raising chickens. I know that lots of people I know saw it and got the chicken bug. It might account for the sudden onslaught of new members. (Count me as one of those.)

Thanks everyone for all your help here so far. I have learned SO much and it's been great to feel like there's a community we can turn to for advice once we actully get our chickens. Since we have no farm community here it's the next best thing. Thanks!
