Welcome to BYC (BackYard Chickens)! So glad to meet you. Best wishes with your and your son's plans. Calling the town hall offices is probably the simplest way to find out. But there is a forum that discusses state laws, ordinances and town bylaws that allow (or prohibit) keeping chickens (or other livestock). But it's hit and miss whether your very local info is there or not. check with your local town hall.
