If I had a bigger yard, I would gladly host. As it is, I don't like to broadcast the presence of my chickens anyway.

I turned off my incubator just a minute ago. I had to admit what I knew was true two days ago. All my babies died in a temp spike on Tuesday. I'm so sad. Hubby isn't too thrilled, either, given the money I spent on those eggs. I will have to tell the girls in the morning.

Sorry Tina to hear about your hatch. It happens more than I think some would like to admit

I still have the Bantie Wyadotte for sale and I'll throw in a free bantie cochin rooster and explain how to get some real neat colors. I'll have them if not sold off auction till May 15th. That is when I'm going to Shays Chicken Fieasta swap.

Hope your girls are okay when you tell them and again sorry

Just have to tell everyone how wonderfully Easter

morning went. The boys love the chickies. My 13 year old son spent 45 minutes holding them last night and just talking away to me (never thought chickens would get a teenager to reconnect and open up to his parents).

Also spent about an hour and a half with them after school.
I already knew my daughter liked them since she was in on the surprise (she is only 2 and can't rat us out yet).
My 6 year old son loves 'em too and spent an hour with them after school today. He held one today it was so cute.

Now if we can only find the place to do it!! Shay cancelled her May 15th swap and I've got way to many birds and waterfowl to hold over till June

dont think we could do it at our house but my dad belongs to a hunting club an i think the rent out there place i will ask him lots of open area prob could park 50-60 cars they also have an indoor hall will let you know what he says.it is in coventry ct

I have (2) 8 week old wheaten ameraucana roos, (2) 4 week old wheaten Marans roos, and (3) 4 week old cuckoo marans roos. Too many roos

! All the wheatens were from eggs purchased from other BYCers. I can send pics to anyone interested. Just shoot me a PM.
