I hate to be the one to break it to ya, Boys will find her!!!! Hopefully you are smart enough to scare them at first but, eventually there is nothing you can do. My daughter Meg didn't have a real boyfriend till she was Senior in High School due to her Dad!! lol He used to give them the third degree and scare the you know what outta em before they could even go on the first date. Some say it was mean to do it but, I disagree with all that is out there and goes on. Little kids are growing up Way Way too fast these days!!

The first date I brought home, my brother greeted him, showed him the hidden closet full of guns, and said that if the guy did anything to his sister, my brother would bury the body where it would never be found. Needless to say, no 2nd date there, and no more boys brought home for awhile. However, when my 3year old is that age, I'm considering having my brother come over to greet her date....

we are known as the strick parents to.i have my guns in a gun cabinet right in my dinning room for all the boys to see.my wife said she is scared for the boys who come over because even now i will scare them when we go up to school function.if i see them acting up i make sure they know emily an debbie's dad dont play that.lol when i was a younger i had 1 brother an 4 sisters if a guy came to pick them up.my dad would send my brother an i out to drag the boyfriend out of the car an into the house.then he would scare the crap out of them.lol both my girls know daddy is alot crazy when it comes to his family.my sister was telling them the how her boyfriend broke up with her an said some pretty mean things an 2 days later came to school an looked like he got beat up pretty good an everyone was telling her you brother did that to him.i pled the 5th i think he tripped an fell.i hate how you see 13 year old girls dressing like they are 20 what a parents thinking.make your kids respect themselves i hate it my kids cant where short shorts or tiny shirts they dress like young ladys.

You’re smart Jim!!! No low cut shirts or short skirts!! It can send the wrong message and lets face we as parents have a responsibility to teach our kids values. How do you do that and let them leave the house like some of these young girls do? Some ppl say they sneak out like that and I say NO WAY!! B/c where are these kids that their parents do not see them and why aren't parents teaching them the whole reason they really shouldn't dress like that! I know others will say they are too young to understand but, in this day and age with internet and things that go through people’s minds after searching the web, I think Parents DO need to have the scary talks to a degree so young kids understand that there is a very good reason parents a very reluctant to allow children unattended to go places.

Not to go on a rant but, I remember growing up as a kid and being able to ride my bike all over the place. Yes one day I had a scary incident with a local town alcoholic and it really scared me. I was riding my bike and he turned around and grabbed my handle bars and shook the bike. I was so afraid of getting in trouble for something but, what I didn't know. This was back in 1978 when things were simpler. Now I do not even want to say what crosses my mind now days with the New Stations and Internet being so public..... Okay I'll stop now but, anyway the bottom line is:

Please no matter what, be involved with your kids, and know where they are and what they are doing, and most importantly know their friends. I was amazed at how my input on the personality of my daughter's friends silently had a huge impact on her friendships with them. Kids are too inexperienced to analyze a good friend from one that is using them or a bad influence.

Peace out

Getting rid of my flock and incubators...too many fights with the hubby over them. I live in Gales Ferry, is anyone interested? I have 1 jersey giant rooster, 1 EE-1 Lav Ameracauna- 1 Welsummer OE- 1 Mutt- 1 Jersey giant Hens. I also have some chicks im hatching now, 1 black copper maran mix, 1 appenzeller ( I think) and i'm not sure of the other one. Its got a yolk out and I'm not sure if it'll live. I also have a chick feeder/waterer and some wood chips. I'm devastated, I love them all, but my husband is impossible. PM me if interested.
