any 1 else getting snow at there house in connecticut tongiht? it is snowing really hard at my house in litchfield county.

beth i didn't let my birds out eihter. i was aftriad they would get sick or soething from the reain and cold air.

yes i allow my chickens in the house and my husband dont care as long as i clean up after them. we treat them like any other pet we have. i know they still carry germs and what not but we dont care theyre our pets

oh i guess im just weird liek that wit the germ thing i dont even eat out in public cause im afraid to get germs. my friend on here beth laughs at me because i clean my coop otu wit a mask and long dish gloves. i get All weirded out if my hand gets poop on it. not to menton my husband is kinda weird liek me too. he would freak out if i ever had a chciken even on our out side porch. he says its too close to the house!

haha not my husband, he'll go out and sit with them like me. ive been pooped on more then once and i just brush it off.

ur bett er than i am. i cant stand it if my coop has too mujch poop in it. i have a kitty litter scoppy thingy and i scoop out the big clumpy ones everyday. but, i still wear my gloves and mask. i tried using cooffee grinds for the bedding and it smelled good but when the chcikens woudl fly out the coop every morning they would dust me with that stuff and that was gross too.. i now use beach sand instead. it makes clean up easy.

i dont allow alot of poop in my coops either. my coops are cleaned every other week. i use pine shavings

Don't let her give you that germ thingy!! Gosh after hanging out with her for a half a day I started to get creeped out too and then reminded myself I don't care!! I mean I care about a clean coop and house but, not to the degree she does! Over kill!! LOL

beth u makin fun of me again? ha ha good think i love u too!! i know u just making fun of me its okay. that silkie is my husbands he wont ever let me show it. not to mention i think that show is too far for me. i am looking at some nice chicks up for sale now on autcion site. the sellor seems nice and i emailed her some questions. maybe i will get my own silkies and go to a local fair somedya.
