that's how i felt lastnight when i was pretty much the only one working besides the supervisor. i was kinda annoyed...ok maybe not kinda maybe really annoyed haha

Well I work alone for the most part but, with the sun shining and some cute new babies at home, I'd much rather be HOME than in here. I think I'll leave at 2:30 so I can get home in time before sunset to go hang with the chicken gang

Very nice!! Did you bury wire or make a skirt with wire around it? It looks like an animal could dig under that fairly easily....but it may just be hard to tell in the pics. I love your deck by the way!!

Pam, most of the perimeter is solid rock and the wire is screwed to it with metal clips and tap-cons. Anything that can dig through solid rock can have all the chickens it wants! In the few areas that are just dirt I burried the wire as deep as the bedrock would allow and am placing large rocks/pavers over it. I may also double up the wire on the first level to make the spaces smaller, but this is just a day-time run and Dragon also patrols the area - the coop itself is ultra high-security for overnight.
