Does anyone have any spare new chicks?

None of the eggs under my broody hatched today and I hate to disappoint her. Maybe it will happen tomorrow, but...

I have some eggs due to hatch out on Monday... they are a test cross between my birchen marans roo and two of my mixed flock hens... a black marans and a lemon cuckoo orp, two of ea. What were you thinking, take them before they hatch and put them under the momma? I have yet to have a broody hen... don't know how all that works.

crazy about chickens in newtown...

If they hatch by monday don't move them

so you are saying once they hatch don't put them with a broody hen? the exchange has to happen before the hatch?

This may sound rude, but is he for free? I also have 35 4 months chicks roosters and hens. Where I live you have as many roosters and hens you want. I live North Branford like 15-20 mins from New Haven

Still available. Shot you a PM.

Good morning CT :) Today I am wondering if anyone knows where I could find any delawares or icelandics in Ct.? We just adopted a single icelandic and I would rather have some other newbies to take some stress off her from the initial integration. We also have far too few hens for the # of roos we have (10 roos and 25 hens) so the more hens we can get the better. I will be in touch with an icelandic breeder soon but am looking for birds a bit older than one day for my current situation. As for now the birds all free range over a number of acres so there is plenty of room to disperse and the health of the new bird is not at risk, I would just like to make it as easy of a transition as possible.

Still looking for new chicks for my broody, if anyone has any to spare!

Hello. I'm obviously not from Connecticut but my partner is applying for a job in Hartford. The move is likely a long shot, but thought I'd ask about towns surrounding Hartford that allow chickens and/or goats as it looks like there are not chickens allowed in Hartford itself. We wouldn't want a huge commute...

Thanks for any feedback

Here is a link that might provide some info about some of the towns:

There's bound to be some good choices for you. I know there are other sites that have similar databases if you search a little.
