Connecticut!

Hello everyone! I haven't been on in a while, it's great to see how many CT chicken keepers have joined! I have a few boys too many and wondered if anyone locally would like them. I have (2) Lavender Orpingtons, an Icelandic and a Cream Brabanter. They are almost 18 weeks old. PM me if your interested or want to see pictures.

Hello everyone,

Have been lurking and not posting lately. Hope everyone's keeping cool in the heat.

I am looking to pick up a few more chicks. I contacted Cameron Family farm but they had said their next two hatches are sold out and I don't want to wait much longer to get them. I might be able to see if they have overstock.

Does anyone have any other local sources? Standard/Large breed only: Orphington, brahma, maran, wayandotte, australorp are the ones I am interested in.

Thanks,
Adam
Beth G has Marans I believe and I just got some lovely orpington chicks from someone in North Branford. PM me if you want the info. the one behind the bar is the Orp

Hello
we wanted to share pictures of our new coops, we got them from Chad & his construction crew out of Hamden (if you go there, make sure to look at the Eagle’s nests by WB Mason), They have many different styles and sizes to choose from or they can custom make your coop. All coops are veterinarian approved designs.
And unlike other companies that want the money up front and make you wait a
month or more for the coop you can pay Chad when the coop is delivered or when you pick up, coops are built to fit in a full sized pickup bed, and depending on the coop they take 1-2 weeks to build, they can also deliver the coop for a fee

our coops being delivered!!

This coop holds 6-9 birds, with 3 nest boxes and roost, there are 3 windows
plus ventilation on the top of the coop (cost $1,000 which is very reasonable!)

This coop holds 4 birds, has 2 nest boxes and roost and cost $450.00

Here are the guys with our rooster, Benny, you can reach Chad at 203-627-3410

Here is another coop they have on Craig’s list
