I just had a 3 month old pullet eat my fake pearl earrings. She grabbed one and we were joking about it when he sudden grabbed the other one! All I'm left with is the backings. I sure hope they were dropped in the grass and she didn't swallow them.

Hi all. I live in southwestern CT, and I'm new to back yard chickens. I was wondering if anyone has a screened bottom coop. Is there a need to winterize it somehow when the weather gets cold or would the chickens be fine out there in the winter? Any info would be helpful. Thanks!!
