Connecticut!

Went to chick days today at labieniecs in Berlin they had a good selection and of course couldn't leave there empty handed,so I picked up some RIR's,light and dark brahmas, australorps and SLWs.The owner said he will be getting different breeds in 2 weeks, all are pullets except for the polish crested, but they did have a big variety and way better looking stock than tsc.
I am so mad I missed it!!! I will have to call and see what they have in 2 weeks. I really want to add some EE to my mix!

Has anyone used plot mixes in their yard? My girls have pretty much wiped out the greens in the area they are allowed to roam. I was thinking of using the buck n oats or rack mixes.
When researching what could potentially be toxic, I have found that rape/brassica is toxic and clover is questionable depending on which article.
But then there is this place http://www.sandhillpreservation.com/catalog/specialty.html#chicken_treats that has rape right in their mixes for poulty plot.

Any thoughts or guidance?

TIA!!!!

ps,.... SNOW ON TUESDAY?? are you flippin kidding!!??

Barnevelders?
400

Anyone know where I can find some blue laced barnevelders? And blue laced red wyandottes?
You have good taste. Hard to find around here. When I had BLR a few years back I had to go all the way to Pennsylvania to get them, but you see more of them these days, so you might find some. Good Barnies are around, but I haven't seen blue ones. Good luck.
