I'm in CT on th RI border. You would think between folks in our area, and maybe the border towns in MA, there should be quite a few of us!

There are. Somewhere we were having a discussion about having a get together out here. I'm still trying to find it. I can't do it up here in Windham. I just don't have the space. We've had two great get togethers in the Oxford area. It is time that we did something out this way. It's a good time to start planning too!
Hm, it may have been on Facebook rather than BYC. I can't find it anywhere. Well, if anyone can seriously host one, check out the old Chickenstock CT threads for ideas. I think you'll find some members will travel from further west in the state. We had lots of fun even in the pouring rain last year!

Yesterday was sweatshirt / T shirt weather. Today and the rest of the week looks to be pretty decent. Do you guys think we are finally out of winter lock down for the season or are we going to get pounded 1 more time?

UGH never mind. Weather.org has a possibility of snow/winter mix for friday

In the late 70's we had a storm drop a foot of snow on April 17th! Just in time for Easter that year.
This is a good time to start cleaning up the old garden plot, while it lasts...

We had a pre-Easter storm one year I was in college too. That would have been '82 or '83. Closed Southern CT for several days because we had so much snow. That was the year I discovered peppermint schapps.....

In this case it was more like in front of MTV in the dorm lobby, or would have been if we'd have had power! I think there was peach brandy too but the memory is a little fuzzy!

Hello all...a newbie here.....this will be my first year. I am awaiting the arrival of the chicks to my local Agway. Should be this week, or next......I can't wait.....I've got to get my brooder cleaned......(old dog kennel/crate)...and I think I just settled on a coop to build....I am new here and will take any advice I can get! If there is anyone local that wouldn't mind me coming over and checking out your set up, I would greatly appreciate it!!! I'm in the Plainfield area....

Welcome, Natti! You will love your new chicks. I'm not nearby to you but if you ever have any questions I will be happy to try answering them although I sure I don't have all the answers...lol What kind are you getting?
