Hey - count me in for the chicken swap. Coventry is about an hour away from me, but just down the road from my sister-in-law, so its doable.

Welcome to our new member! Our coop is not insulated, either. We have cold-hardy Easter Eggers and Welsummers.

I'll be singing Beth's praises this week, too. Picking up my new banty on Friday.

I'm happy you are in on the chicken stock!! Yeah!!

Who else CT folks? They don't have to be BYC'rs if you know of other folks not on BYC pass along to them.

If anyone is interested, I have a couple of 8 wk old olive egger cockerels to rehome. Pics are below. Dad is a Birchen Marans, and the moms are lavender/split lavender Ameraucanas. One is pea combed, the other straight. Nice, solid little guys for anyone wanting to work on some olive egg layers. Let me know if you have an interest.

I'll go if I can keep up with this thread long enough to know exactly when an where. I'm sure my husband won't be happy about it, because he thinks i'm chicken obsessed...which I am. lol
