Beth- Are the boys behaving? Thanks again!

Seems to be the way it works - it took me awhile to convince DH that keeping chickens would be good-now I find him checking on the chicks almost as much as I do!

Tine, when you buy 400lbs of layer pellets and 100lbs of chic starter, plus 12 bags of shavings a month........trust me chicken sales only help feed the addiction slightly!!

You never know, I may take you up on the offer someday. My current rooster is pretty mellow, but not quite sure how he should act. Last night he was the only one in the coop asleep when we went out there at 8:30pm. The pullets were all outside. I've only heard him crow around 4am and now because the air has been on..I don't hear him at all. He doesn't crow at any other time. Maybe that will change when he gets older? He's only about 5 months old.
Although...my others were very fresh and crowed all the time.

I'm in New Haven County so I'm not sure about out that way. Best thing to do is go online and search the town you are choosing website for zoning. I know some are strict and some are not

Hey guys! So I have decided to have a big dispersal of my flock because I don't have time or effort right now for them and I feel terrible that I can't give them 100%. Soooo I figure i woud offer my birds to anyone from byc on ct for free as I know they'd go to a good home. This is what I have.

Quad of Duccles, two porcaline hens, one millie hen and a milli rooster, Hen's are show quality and ahve been shown
White Hatchery Silkie, Not layin but she's fun to have around
Pair of Silver Dutch
Two EE Hens
4 Barred Rock Cockerels
One Barred EE Cockerel
One Blue EE Cockerel
Quad of Buff Old English Bantams
Buff colored old english cockerels

Pair of Black Old English Bantams, Im asking $20 for these guys becuase i don't really want to get rid of them, BUT If someone is looking for some i'd sell them, They come from a well know breeder in the area.

Most of my birds have been tested and come back negative, the ones that are not tested are from this year and still growing out.

Let me know if anyone is intersted, like I said i will give them to anyone here on byc, with the accepteion of the blacks.
