Connecting a Nestera Coop to a Run

Greetings. Looking for ideas/photos for securely connecting a Nestera Coop to a run. The roof overhang has handles that I have heavy duty zip ties connecting the coop to the wire of the run but I'm looking for a more secure design. I did a couple of unsuccessful searches but hoping for some inspiration. Please and thanks!

I would advise setting the coop freestanding within a run, rather than trying to attach a run to it; two of the best features of the Nestera are the lack of hiding places for parasites, and the ease with which it comes apart for cleaning or moving, and you might lose both if you start making holes and screwing mesh to it.

Perris, thank you for the response and I agree with your summary but because of the set up of our run, we need to have it attached.

OK. The runs Nestera supply are fixed with bolts through enlarged lugs (diagrams on their website). You will probably need to sort something similar.

I bought and 8x8 poultry pen from Tractor supply so I can out the coop inside of it. Have not received my coop yet but hoping this will work. I live on a busy Hwy and am not sure how to keep my chickens out of it other than a complete enclosure. The pen is very heavy duty and seemed a good value for the cost.

@MKC, if I understood Chknmo correctly, do you have room for something like this, so that the run attaches to the “coop cage” instead of to the coop itself? Of course, it would have to be big enough that you could access the nest boxes and the back (cleanout.)

I have a Nestera also, and Perris is right about all the roof overhangs and oddball projections.
