But I guess it's a good price for a Pea as rare as the Violet.

Well, yes, exactly. Let's think about how many years of work went into developing the new color? And they are still few and far between. Even though I can't afford one, I can't say that what is being asked is unreasonable...

I'm very impressed with the color, and I don't even begin to know what to make of the frizzle-look -- that has me truly confused

I love em. The frizzle just adds to the total picture. If only it stays. For you youngsters, maybe in 20-30 years they'll be common.

How does one get a curly tail i like it

I know somebody who has some Sebastopol geese. I think I spelled that correct the curly feather geese though I don't know if they have a gander and a goose or what. I could ask and maybe they could ship some to you I would need to ask first.

Just tell me you aren't going to try to cross the curly geese with anything pea-ish

Frizzled tails are one thing, more pea-zombies is more than I can take

zazouse I do raise Sabastopol geese. I just sold the last of my chicks for this year. I have about 20 breeders to start next spring with. I'd be glad to ship you some next year. I also raise peafowl. Sure wish I hadn't seen that picture of the violete. Looks like I need to sell a lot of things to get a pair of those.

@connerhills , can you tell us more about that frizzled looking tail? That's just so amazing looking... Is that turning up only in your violete birds, or have you been breeding it in other colors? Or did that handsome bird spend all morning preening with a curling iron and mousse when he heard you were doing a photo shoot?
