Crystal jumped up to get an apple. She couldn't quite reach it, so she searched around on the ground. She looked up to see something right in front of her. She sniffed it curiously, then grabbed it and trotted back to Dapple. It was a piece of a letter. "i found something." she said. It was a little burnt around the edges and was torn a bit. "can you read what it says?" se asked Dapple.

After observing Mel's warriors for about an hour, Maddox retired into his cave and added the unicorn shavings that he had collected from Pompona to his store of other odd and unusual items. Maybe one day they would be useful, maybe not. He peeked his head out of the cave and looked down towards Consenia with a small smile, one day he would kill them all.
