Reynardia yawned, stretching out her forlegs.

Shade flew around looking for something to eat.He spotted a young buck that would do well.As he dived down he extended his talons to their full extent.He hit the buck at a high speed,killing it instantly.As he tore it apart, he spotted a pegasus trotting toward him,with something sparkling in her mouth.

Aurum swooped over the valley, close to his lair.

Crystal saw the gryphon and trotted toward it. "Uhm.. Hi.. Excuse me.. But... What is this... if you don't mind me asking..." She said to Shade, dropping the crystal in front of him.

I do not mind,just don`t interrupt a gryphon while it`s eating.Most are not as nice as I am.But anyways,lets take a look a this crystal. (Pause) It seems that you are very lucky.That is Painite,the rarest known gem in the world.Keep it safe,or you could trade for something of mine...(Raises wing towards his nest)

Aurum saw the glint of the sun against the crystal and circled a few miles above to investigate.

I looked up,sensing something.There was Aurum, the blesion ( Pronounced BLEH-SEE-ON) ,or traitor in Gryphon.I filled with anger. "Run! I shouted. He will kill you!" I launched myself in the air,thankful for the armour that I had crafted myself.

"Thank you, kind sir. I'll keep my gem." Crystal replied, smiling. She gripped the precious stone in her teeth and trotted back to Dapple. "It's Painite." She said, smiling.

Aurum snapped his mandibles together a foot from Shade's face, he wasn't intrested in fighting much, unless it was for gold or defending his lair.
