"Gabby?" Reynardia asked again, uncertainly. She could hear someone (Jet) screeching, but couldn't make out the words. She jumped off of Dapple as he reared to meet another or Atero's strikes, drawing her dagger to help him.

Jet's pupils had dilated. She and Gabby were falling towards the ground, Jet holding her down. They slammed into the ground hard enough that it knocked the wind out of Jet. Several loud snaps rang out as Gabby's wings broke.

Xzarnon cantered towards the sound. It's not even windy! He stopped about one-hundred yards from the entrance of the cave, and snorted. The smell of battle was everywhere! He took a tentative step towards the cave. Then another. All of a sudden, a voice spoke in his head. Don't! it said. Don't take another step! Xzarnon stepped back into hiding. Why not? he asked back. Suddenly a white stag appeared at his side. "There is a small battle going on, and if you don't want to be wounded, I suggest you back away."

Reynardia spun around when she heard the two gryphons fall. Dapple screamed at her and Atero slammed his hooves into her back. Reynardia yelped, stumbling backwards.

"But I must help them!" yelled Xzarnon, a little too loudly.

Dapple struck Atero in the chest. He heard Xzarnon yelling. "Who's there?" he shouted. Atero let out an angry bellow, lowering his horn.

Atalanta could hear a battle going on. She galloped and stood next to Xzarnon her head cocking slightly.

Atero and Dapple both reared, striking at each other with their hooves. Dapple stood in front of Reynardia, who had twisted her ankle on a rock when she fell.

Lily snorted at Dysis. She reared up over him like she was going to pounce down on him, but landed right in front of him, just wanting to scare him.

Maddox soared overhead, a twisted grin painted plainly on his face. He swooped over the heads of the fighting parties, not joining in yet but enjoying it all the same.

Dysis flapped up, he looked around wildly for Sylvia. Screeching, he sprung at Lily, trying to keep her distracted.
