Just wanted to share my exciting news with you Anatolian peeps! :)

Congrats! I wonder if its anyone I know or any of my dogs family!

It's a girl here on the BYC. We've been talking forever about ducks and she finally just slipped in one day that she had Anatolians. I was like, "What!" And it just so happens that her female is expecting.. So again.. "What?!" I will be driving 12 hours to get one in mid-march, AND I will get to meet my BYC friend! I'm excited. I know the dad is a full blooded, and mom has a little something else in here a few generations back. I've seen pics though, they look completely like anatolians. This is exactly what I wanted though. I didn't want the whole "registered" thing. I just wanted the dog. I will have questions so I hope you're subscribed. I hear your the one to ask about Anatolians. ;)

Hey quackers! your really excited about this pup huh? i cant wait till she has them! OMG im so excited! i will pick you out the cutest puppy EVER! i promise!

Quackers. Both our males are full blooded, one is from registard lines, the other is not. the one with registrad lines has longer hair then the other two dogs for some reason. hes the daddy. he has better instinct then the other anyway. he saved 7 of our chickens from 2 adult dogs when he was a puppy, and killed a snake that almost ate our chickens! great dog! hes our favorite male!

the other is a big woos! hes afraid of lighting! And my DUCKS! hes afraid of DUCKS! silly goose!... i mean DOG!

the female has better instinct then the two male put together

.... she lets us know when someone is coming down the road. shes a great dog! we love her! this will be her second little to. we didnt even know when she was pregnant the first time till i came out and found puppies all over the goat pen! we weren't set up for puppys then, so only one made it. but we have a nice little place all set up for her and her pups, it will be great! so excited to meet you quackers! WWEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!

YOU bred her AGAIN ALREADY??? ARRRGHHHH!!!!

She was only a year old when she had pups this fall, so she is STILL TOO YOUNG to be bred!!! Especially on the tails of such a rough time the first time. She was NOT in good condition last time, I sure hope she fares better now. Either way, a back to back breeding on a girl who isnt even a year and a half old is terribly irresponsible. Anatolians do not mature physically or mentally till they are at LEAST two, more like 3-4.

I so enjoyed seeing your photos and reading your experience with the Anatolian Shepherds!! I have been studying this breed and looking for a Florida breeder, if possible. Our Great Dane is getting old and never was much of a watch dog. Scared of his own huge shadow. Do you recommend a breeder in the south Florida area? Your dog is beautiful. I have a small farm in Alva, Florida that needs some protection. Thank you for any advice that you may have. Terrilynn
