Considering Brahmas

I ended up adding 2 Brahmas , a light and a dark.

Egg production wasn’t a major need. I still might add some Jerseys in the future.

I'm interested in Brahma's also. I've been told that they're calm, docile, friendly, and not as likely to spook or fly over a fence as other breeds. I'm somewhat concerned about the summers. We probably have a similar climate here in Southeast TN. Let us know how it goes.

Mine are too young to know their real personalities. I will say they are calm but the dark is the dominant one out of my new 7.

I. Found mine from a breeder in Rome , GA. You might want to look at Carolina Rare Chickens. They have a lot of varieties

Good luck in your search. They aren’t as popular as some other breeds.

Oh, we're only about 1.5 hours from Rome, GA. Is the breeder on FB or have a website? I googled Brahma breeder, Rome, GA, but mostly got results for the major hatcheries (Meyers, Cackle, ect).
