Hi I currently have ten chickens in a mixed flock. Love having them so fun. One downside is they all have different breed temperaments so pick on each other. Next year spring I am hoping for a broody hen to raise some chicks for me. My chicken coop is only equipped for ten chickens so probably need an additional coop. I am looking for my next chickens to be bantams two breeds of bantams that look like they would work well in my cold climate are bantam brahmas and Duccles. Any experience with those breeds? Any other cold hardy broody bantams. Also hoping of breeding a little to sell some chicks to cover the costs any info on housings. Also what should the female to male be. All of this is a maybe and totally not urgent. Sorry if questions sound stupid but just curious. Love chickens so far.

Wait for broody then buy chucks if I don’t have a broody and chicks are selling then I will buy them and raise them in a brooder. Do you have bantam brahmas? Or know anyone who does do they make a good meat bird too?

I am hoping to start a new flock in a different coop. It depends on wether or not I want to spend the money.
