I have a red sex-link that started laying about 1 week ago. Its first three eggs were perfect shells and everything. Then the past four 'eggs' have been layed without any shells on them just the membrane. One of the shell-less eggs had another yolk on the outside of the egg. She is being fed Layer pellets, oyster shell, access to clean water. Is this normal for them to do this in the beginning? Will she stop doing this soon?

Our Araucana did that too. Laid perfect green eggs at first, then no shells, and now no eggs at all. Not sure what's wrong with her but she's been this way for 6 months. Hopefully yours is not the same problem.
