had my grand daughter on my lap she saw the chicks and said ducks. This is my DH fault he told her that the new chicks we got were ducks because she really wanted ducks. she is only 16 months old now all chicks are ducks and I thing they might go to the pool yet if she has her way.
Oh, my! That is AWESOME! Congratulations on a wonderful, creative yet conservative job. My hat is off to you! I love it!
My hubby wants to know how long it took to build. We are getting ready to build a poultry barn. We are still in the tear down/ clean up stage of the old barn that blew down. Mine won't be near as aesthetically pleasing as yours, but I hope it will be very functional and as convenient as possible. We will also use a lot of salvage material and material purchased from local auctions, etc.
Just got back from a morel jaunt. SparkyCrows and I found about 30 mediums and smalls, all yellows, with a few old, a few really fresh, and a couple lovely new ones- SparkyCrows found one where the crown was the size of a coke can!!
I'll put a pic up later. I'm delirious, because when we got back to her place, she tells me they won't eat them, so I got to take all of them!! w00t!!

Be sure you cover them with water and put them in the fridge for a while. I soak them overnight. You would be surprised how many ants and tiny bugs can hide in all those crevices. I think the cold water helps with the texture, too, before you cook them. Congratulations on your find..... now... don't tell ANYONE where you found them!
