Hi Everybody
Met another BYC'er today and sold a few more chickens today. Sad to see some of them go, but you know how it is. Too many cockerells is not a good thing. A couple of them were some "favorites." Hope they all made it to their new home safe and sound! Thanks, Jen!
Hawkeye-I think oxine is great stuff. I've read a lot about it, but personally I have not used it. It's kind of pricey. Frankly, for cleaning I generally just use clorox clean-up. It's a lot cheaper.
Danz-Oh! I know the feeling when you bid too much for something, or it turns out to be something other than what you thought.
I LOVE a poorly attended auction! I'll brave some pretty nasty weather if there is something I really want. Lots of people won't stick around if the weather is bad unless they really, really want something badly.
ruthless-I'm not fond of frizzles, but he sure is a pretty one!
Hubby finally got the Gator running today. He ended up tearing it apart a couple more times for piddly problems. It still isn't running great. Not as much power as it should have. Anyway, it needs new spark plugs and a new fuel filter. Hopefully once we get those it will run a little better.
This is kind of silly, but it's a "thing" with my hubby and me. When we lived near Solomon we had a BIG sandpit pond. We would take the rowboat out across the pond. It was so peaceful, relaxing and romantic.
I just loved it. Now we don't have a pond or a rowboat....but we have the Gator. We take it for rides across the fields, and along the roads around our place. We cruise the edge of the woods and watch the wildlife. It kind of takes the place of the rowboat. I just love it. Having the Gator not working has been a depressing thing. It's going to be really nice having it functional again. I hope this isn't TOO "soupy" for everybody.
