I hope it is ok. If you have some of that super glue stuff to use on cuts your might try some of that on the naval. I have put a dressing on one before that sealed it. Like maybe try the sticky part of a bandaid if you don't have the super glue stuff. Just remember where ever you stick it it will pull out duck fuzz.
Look at it this way: No one can give you advice unless they made a mistake and learned how to fix it. Anyone who hatches has probably done the same thing. It is so hard not to help. Ducks are extremely tough. I've lost very few, so don't give up.

Thank u. I thought my humidity was good since I hatched two and was so careful but I could b way off. I just hope the other two that r pipping don't have same problem.

I agree 100%, I've never hatched ducks, but anyone who's hatched birds of any sort has made aleast 1 mistake at some point so don't beat yourself up to bad if it dosn't make it, look at it as a learning experience.

the bleeding doesnt seem to be flowing a lot now but its still there. Its still mostly covered with that membrane but I think that membrane is now getting dry since it pipped over a day ago. I put a moist towel in there and there is water in where its supposed to be. I just had peeled a little shell there and then all that blood came. I ddint try to peel the membrane stuff though. I thinnk it is stuck though. It is still moving some and seems tired.

Nope that duckling isn't ready to hatch. (Sorry for the delay in answering.) I don't know if the chances of it surviving are good. BUT....You can take the shell you peeled off and scotch tape it back on. Be sure to leave a small air hole for him to breath through, Only as big as maybe a nail head, but don';t block his access out. See if you can see his beak and leave the air hole close to it. Then once you have him humpty dumptied You need to make sure he has plenty of humidity. Lay a wet sponge or something along side his shell. Just be sure not to block his air way or get water in his shell that could drown him. If you can keep him from drying out you may be able to save him.
If he makes it a few more hours he could be ok. Once he is hatched he will probably be stuck to the lining of the egg. Use very warm wet cloths to gently loosen that stuff so he can move. You may pull a little fluff.
The best option of course would be to have some of those breathable bags they ship fish in. He could hatch fine that way.

Thank u so much for all the help. I would have probably gone nuts or lost the duck if I didn't have this forum. The good news is that he is hatched. The bleeding is gone. He is weak and laying there but he's holding his own and peeping at me when I look thru the window. I posted some pics of him and my other 2 that are already hatched on the incubating and hatching thread! My fingers r crossed he pulls thru!

Another quick question! !! The duck is still doing okay. When I go check it, it is always moved around. The only thing I am worried about is I think the umbilical cord is still hooked to the shell. The duck is all the way out but there is a tiny thin thing still hooked. I don't see a yolk sac though. Will that just dry up and fall off?
