nick1234 if you ever decide to come down my way I have Heritage Rhode Island Reds in addition to the Heritage BRs like Danz has & Speckled Sussex. I also have a lot of other breeds like New Hampshire Reds that are another Heritage breed, Barnevelders, Ameraucanas (not Easter Eggers), Swedish Flower Hens, Cream Legbars & several colors of Orpingtons. I also may have some Olive Eggers later on after I get my BCMs grown out. Between the two of us we could enable you a lot! I do normally hatch by order & have a bunch of orders lined up for as soon as the birds get to laying well enough to start hatching.
It's not supposed to be as cold today & tomorrow as it has been, we need a break. I wish it was the end of winter but unfortunately we still have March to get through yet. We have to go get a few more bales of hay today because I had only estimated & we fell short by a few bales. At least we found someone very close to use who has it. I'm still waiting on my ewe to lamb, she's holding out. It would be nice if she picked today or tomorrow to do it while it's warmer. I worry about those little babies right after being born when they're all wet & it's so cold.
