The Bredas are such docile birds they will often just hide their heads in a confrontation. I'm glad the orp backed off. My orps aren't normally aggressive either. I have a barred rock that is a total jerk. I had to throw him out of the rooster pen because he would pick a fight with the other roosters and not give up. He is a docile bird other wise and is scared of his own shadow. He decided to take up residence with the layers and sleeps in the far coop and the other two roos sleep in the nearer coop. I'm glad they came to a truce.
It is windy here too, but the only snow we got is remnants from last week's big storm. It is blowing all over the place, causing renewed travel difficulties with snow re-drifting on roads. I wish it'd hurry up and melt before it has a chance to blow away. We need the moisture! Plus, we've got piles and drifts of snow all over the place that are really starting to get in the way! The weather is supposed to warm upl ater this week, and I really hope the snow melts quickly. I've got a hoop coop chicken coop to build and have a set deadline! My new chicks will be here March 9 or 10th!
