Consolidated Kansas

Danz, if there is a Dollar Tree in your area, they have a good selection of phone holders. I have an all leather clip holster that I got there, and for only one dollar.
I got my other eye lens installed the 5th of Feb., so I am seeing things in a new light. But that sometimes creates another problem, if the light is too bright. I now need sunglasses, which I hardly ever wore.
Ralph congrats on getting your other eye done. I'll bet you can see lots better now. I have to wear sunglasses anyway outside in bright light, my contacts cause me to be more sensitive to it. That still beats having foggy vision though I bet.

Gosh, I love you all. You are a funny, clever, smart, caring, and hard working bunch. And with such diversity including age, gender, country, small town & urban. I enjoy the conversations, tips and encouragement you share with all of us.
Awww thanks! We all just like to share our experiences & help each other out, even if at times we don't agree completely. We can have our opinions & still be friends.

The nearest dollar tree is 40 miles away. Unfortunately. I broke my $1 readers the other day, I got there and that is what I use on the computer. When your neck is fused it is impossible to see through bifocals without extreme pain trying to tip a neck up that doesn't tip.
Congrats on getting the eye done. My parents always wore these hideous black looking glasses after their lasik surgery when they went outside. I don't ever wear sun glasses either. Probably means I have cataracts or will. I really need to go to the eye doctor. It's just money I hate to spend.

That is so sweet of you to say. Please feel free to post about anything on your mind. If you cooked dinner and it looked good we even like hearing about that.
Sharol's post yesterday got me out with my camera. It takes terrible pictures cause it is stuck on a 2-second delay. Some day I'll just buy another one that isn't as expensive but works better! I like it cause it has a rechargable battery.

First my barred lavender rooster. Isn't he gorgeous?

One of the lavender hens. My girls look ruff right now with two roosters in there.

My barred rock breeders. He got his comb frozen off last winter but he's a gorgeous bird.

black brahma group

black brahma roo. He is taller than my knee

Closer pick of black brahma hen.

Breda back up cockerel.

The other Breda breeders

Some of my bbs girls

BBS

My mottle hen with too much white.

My mottle rooster. Not a good picture. He is huge. At least 15 pounds.

Some of the jubilee.

gold laced orps. This is an old picture when they were still not laying age. They are full now. Just wanted to show the coloring.
I have lots of other birds too. It was just a quick run down of some while I was in there.
Last but not least here is a couple pictures of my project double laced blue gold brahmas I bred. Exclusive color that only I raise.

My fencer came yesterday and got most of the fence done. He has to come back Monday and hang the gates. I have a lot of work to do out there to connect old fence to new and fence post to buildings etc. I also need to make and install a gate. Maybe by the early week I will have the geese all penned. I used at least 10 bales of straw so far adding bedding here and there. The birds were having so much fun in it half of it made it out on the ground instaed of staying there for nesting.

Me too!!!! @chicken danz I might be going thru your area to pick up a filly I'm hoping to purchase in the next month or two. If it's not too far out of my way I want to stop and pick up some more birds! ;) I have a neighbor that really wants a SS rooster like I have and I need some more hens for myself. I want more of your blue partridge brahmas and maybe some Araucanas and..... (Maybe bringing the horse trailer thru is a good idea anyway)! Lol

Btw the animals were being very photogenic yesterday. Here's a few pics I thought you might enjoy. At one point I was being mobbed by London and several kittens that either wanted a nice place to curl up or thought I had something tasty for them to eat or something! Lol Warrior and Nala were having a hilarious day from the looks of it!

Your horse looks so much better! Great job. London is as pretty as ever. How is the girl GP you got doing? I'll probably have some chicks of some of those. I have a lot of orders for birds and of course people want to pick them up all at once. Sometimes it's just impossible to hatch exactly what people want. It depends on who lays and who doesn't. The araucanas are selling really well this year. In previous years there wasn't much interest. I have no idea why.

I didn't get a lot done today. I took the Bobcat out and straightened up and pushed some more -posts in the old East fence. I still have to cut off the old wire, attach it to the new post and remove a few post so my farmer can get in the field. I blocked his previous access with the goose pen. When the fencer comes back I hope he will hang my road gate for me. I paid him to do one gate but I think he will do the other one as well. I might have to pay him some more. I was doing some measuring and trying to figure out exactly what I want to use for a walk through gate to the west side of the pen. I guess I'll have to make a gate when it's a little warmer out there. Tomorrow is forecast to be miserable.
I gave my Puppy, Yeti another one of his shots today. I think that will do. The vet always gives two shots but according to the package it says to give at least three. I need to research a little bit I guess. It's sure a lot easier and cheaper to give your own vaccinations.

OK danz now I'm going to have to try to post some of my birds, that is if my internet will behave & I can upload them. It looks like it may be in the morning, the internet gets way too much traffic in the evening.

Please do. I'd love to see them, too.

Living in the country with flaky Internet service is a pain, but I wouldn't trade places with someone in town with true broadband.

We have pretty good internet service with the addition of a booster and a tower. It is through Verizon. It's terribly expensive though and we use an awful lot of gigs. I wish I could find something else as dependable that wasn't so expensive. I'd like to be able to download movies without eating up our entire amount of gigs. Also If I could eliminate all the pop up advertising it would help. I've made some adjustments but they really haven't helped all that much. BYC is one of those places that uses a lot and Facebook is the worst.
It's going to be so cold today but one of my customers insist she is coming so I guess I'll have to handle it. I'm not at all looking forward to it. They'll be here in about an hour I guess I should go out and feed and water while I'm waiting but I'm just not ready to face the cold yet today. I don't think I'm going to be working on the goose pen today either. It can wait.
