.....soooooo now that I've scared the wits out of everyone about bringing in grown birds, I'm wanting to offer up my flock of Golden Lakenvelders.
I should have waited a bit to bandy about my 'Be Careful' speech, right?
So, anyway, if you or someone you know is interested, I have 4 Golden Lakenvelder pullets and 2 roos, one of whom is rumpless but has never thrown rumpless chicks. They have slate legs, not green, like you'll see sometimes, and they are a very rich golden color, not the patchy buff you'll sometimes see.
They are a good size, not bantam. They eat very little and lay like mad when in season. This is a Mediterranean breed, so they aren't likely to want to be cuddled, which is why I'm not in love with them
I like to cuddle.
I have always had very good profits selling their eggs, as they are rare, and they are very pretty, excellent foragers, very self-sufficient and not prone to broodiness.
I'll take $100 for the flock, just because I need the space...I'm desperate to not have to build another coop...they're just starting laying again after a winter break. They turned 1 on Christmas and are from 3 different flocks, so not all related.
